Uplifting forest communities through rights, resource management, and sustainable livelihoods

CPF strives towards the emancipation of the forest dwelling/dependent and other resource poor communities through the realisation of their rights and access, control and management of their natural resources in a sustainable way. Capacity development, advocacy and policy influence for an improved quality of life and increased livelihood opportunities are the organisation’s key initiatives and contributions for the underprivileged.

Our Programmes

CPF’s Forest and Rural Communities Programmes empower through forest rights,
sustainable resource management, health, nutrition, digital initiatives, and skill development,
fostering secure livelihoods since 1996, with Tata Trusts’ partnership.

Forest Communities Programme

Forest communities deserve ownership of their forests to conserve, manage, and utilize resources, ensuring livelihood security. CPF, an autonomous wing of Centre for World Solidarity, has championed community forest resource rights since 1996.

Rural Communities Programme

Since 2015, CPF, partnering with Tata Trusts in Vijayawada and Andhra Pradesh, empowers rural communities through projects in health, nutrition, village development, digital initiatives, and skill development, fostering sustainable livelihoods and improved quality of life.
